Hi, any idea how i can play BF1942 with widescreen? I Have try it a few times via Google but it doesn't work. Crying or Very sad

Daniel, not helpful... There are plenty of people who actually still enjoy playing that game. For example, look at the campaigns we are still hosting here for 1942 nowadays. It attracts still a big base of players Wink

Anyway, if I am right it should be doable by changing the resolution manually in one of the ini's ( I am not certain anymore which file it was ). At the resolution you had to fill in a custom resolution, after that it is important not to change your settings anymore OR make the file readable only (right-click on file, properties, I think you know where the option is Smile

).

I would have to look again exactly where it was. If I get more info I will let you know. It was a small workaround, as as you know widescreen is not officially supported in 1942..

I have try the Wikipedia help but not working. But i will trye it again next weekend. Any more help always welcome!

Change it from Program Files/Ea Games/Battlefield 1942

Find video.con, videodefault.con change them both and make them read-only. Better do it for every profile file to be sure. It works like a charm.

Daniel, I'm seeing this bullshit posts of yours for a while now, I'm still playing this game, maybe it may come as a joke to you, which is PR for me, but I^m not saying anything about the games people play here.

This is a really bad attitude and stop it. Consider this as a heads-up from a 8 year old vet. Wink

okay okay, Erwin you do not need to comment on my post as well.

I will first reinstal BF1942. Because i have do lot of things and the game is now f**** up. Rolling Eyes
