Sega announces Total War Rome II
The Creative Assembly, the creator of the multi-award winning Total War series, is coming with a brand new game at the end of 2013. After the sequel Total War Shogun 2, they are now going back to one of the best-known periods in History, the period of Rome.

Total War Rome 2 will bring you the most expansive turn-based campaign and largest, most cinematic battles ever seen in a game. Promising impressive action on both land, sea, and for the first time in a Total War game, both the shore and sea together!

“Our games have always encompassed a grand vision,” said Mike Simpson, Creative Director. “But we’re now pushing that vision at both ends of the spectrum. From the immense reach of the sandbox campaign right down to the human-level drama of a single warrior on the battlefield, we’re aiming for an unprecedented level of detail and scale.” - Mike Simpson

The Total War series in Forgotten Honor
Soon also Forgotten Honor will be entering the scene of the Total War battlefields with various events that range from competitions to massive campaigns. We are excited to bring the theaters of the highly popular Total War series to Forgotten Honor and offer our players the opportunity to participate in events organized for the Total War games such as Empire: Total War; Napoleon: Total War; Total War Shogun 2 and next year's Total War Rome 2

Rome II's release is planned for Christmas 2013.

How far will you go for Rome?

There's an excellent Civil War mod for Empire Total War that might interest you!

Link to mod: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=6320e1ba41ec607efa82ad62ea629198&f=1627

But as for Rome 2, bring it on! Twisted Evil

I have to say though that I very much enjoyed MTW2, Empire Total War, Napoleon Total war and shogun2 + the expansions ROTS and FOTS Smile

But Rome 2 is something I definitely look forward to.

If Forgotten Honor enters the Total War games, I will jump up and scream, these are the best games ever made!
I own all of them except for the first two, and Rome:Alexander (as they don't make it for Mac).

I am really glad that this is the next game in the line.
But I am quite worried about the modability cause the last 3 total war games have been harder and harder to mod and that modability was the key thing that made a totalwar games playable for 1000hours+
and ofcourse in the matter of steams forced autoupdate makes it a bit more anoying to play mods cause everytime you restart your steam i will put all of your games to autoupdate again so there is no way of preventing it. you can play offline but then you will not get your stats Wink

But that to a side I am really thrilled by returning to the age of carthage and rome not to underestimate the greeks and egyptians + exiting eastern factions plus the barbarians in the north.
But am personally gonna try and remake hamilkar and hannibal's adventure to destroy the roman empire. no matter the cost Smile

To people who still plays Medieval 2 TW try the stainless steel mod.
To people who play empire, napoleon and shogun try the Darthmod mod.

if you want look for mods to totalwar games I recommend twcenter website it is a must for total war lovers Smile

Already said it often Very Happy Image your tririmes/biremes ramming through the enemy fleet Smile Can't wait for the fleet battles in this total war. Add to that amphibious assault and coastal support in a battle.

Looking forward to the game, and twcenter definitely is a must for total war information: http://www.twcenter.net/
